[PROJECT] "Heartstrings," A Fan Meeting Project

Since "Heartstrings" was last aired in the summer of 2011, it has been fans' hope that there will be a fan meeting with Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa. Well fans won't have to wait any longer. To promote their drama in Japan, which airs in July on Fuji TV, Shin Hye and Yong Hwa will come together once again to hold two very special fan meetings with their fans. 

Because of this very special event, we at PSHIFC are holding a donation drive and a fan project in support of Shin Hye. 

It's really quite simple. We will be giving away prizes to all who donate and collecting photo messages from fans. For the donation drive, the grand prize is an autograph from PARK SHIN HYE!

[NEWS] 'You're Beautiful" to be transformed into a musical in 2012

In 2012, top-selling Hallyu drama 'You're Beautiful'(2009) will be reborn as a musical.

Today, musical production company Seensee has announced its plans to introduce 'You're Beautiful' into the Broadway scene with musical lineup performances.

The musical is scheduled to open 31 July to 11 September 2012 in Seoul Sejong Center M Theater. Everything is now under preparations. The new drama musical will be based on the original story of 'You're Beautiful'

'You're Beautiful' is a hit drama series starring Park Shin Hye, Lee Hongki, Jung yonghwa and Jang Keun Suk. The drama has gained worldwide popularity and is ranked the #1 Korean drama of all time in various international polls. Japanese entertainment company FujiTV also remaked the drama last year.

In the interview of the Japanese magazine K☆STARLOVERS vol.3, Shinhye was asked whether she wears feminine clothes like she wore in the drama "Heartstrings." She answered “No, thinking about health, I wear sneakers instead of high-heeled shoes. I even wear sneakers with short skirts and short pants.”

The interview seems to be held when she was shooting for "Heartstrings." Shinhye was asked “What do you want at this moment?” Her answer was “Red bag and PC.”

Shinhye’s favorite fashion brand is POLHAM (Korean brand) because their clothes are feminine but at the same time mannish.

[NEWS] Heartstrings <넌 내게 반했어> Shorten to 15 Episodes

MBC has announced that Heartstrings <넌 내게 반했어> will end at episode 15.

Several days ago, the director of the drama discussed with Star News saying that "Heartstrings will be a 15 episode drama."

Heartstrings's actress Park Shin Hye was hospitalized earlier due to a car accident which cause a setback on the continual filming of the drama. Park Shin Hye demonstrated her fighting spirit by going back to work soon after to continue filming but due to severe pain, she was eventually forced to take a week's rest.

MBC had then broadcast a special in place of episode 8 which was scheduled to be broadcast the same week as episode 7. The special was a collection of scenes from episode 1 to episode 7. Because of this, the drama is behind one episode, thus reducing the original 16 episodes to a 15 episode drama which will broadcast its final episode on August 18th. 

Nevertheless, Heartstrings has been bought by eight different countries including the United States, Japan, and China and will be broadcast there.

In regard to episodes overseas, the drama may be edited to be 12 episodes or 20 episodes or any number of episodes befitting that country. 

Heartstrings is a college drama about hopes and dreams of youth, of first love. Park Shin Hye and CNBlue's Jung Yong Hwa are in the limelight as two of Hallyu's brightest stars. 

The rights of the drama was bought by the US, China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Japan even before the broadcast of the series.

[NEWS] Heartstrings 넌 내게 반했어 NG in Ep 11

The writing team of Pyo Min Su and Lee Myung Sook have joined together to create a breathtaking campus couple that leaves everyone jealous, the "Dooley" couple played by Park Shin Hye (Lee Kyu Won) and Jung Yong Hwa (Lee Shin).

In last week's episode of Heartstrings, Lee Shin and Lee Kyu Won had officially declared themselves as a couple and went on several cute dates that left the viewers smiling happily and ended the episode with a kiss.

As it is, Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa are friends. Last Thursday, August 4th, at the end of episode 11, viewers were surprised to see a NG segment of the drama. The NG consisted of scenes of both Lee Shin and Kyu Won or was it Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye? It was hard to distinguish which is which from what the NG shown. The NG shown the two laughing and having fun.

An official at the shooting said that when the Dooley couple NGed, the NGs were often cute and playful. The two, even when NGed, still brought a good atmosphere to the set.

The Dooley couple sure made for everyone to be jealous with their campus romance. Stay tune to Heartstrings every Wednesday and Thursday on MBC at 9:55 pm.

[NEWS] Park Shin Hye to sing CNBlue's song 'I Will Forget You' for Heartstrings

In Episode 7 of MBC drama Heartstrings, Park Shin Hye is spotted singing CNblue's song. The episode will tell the story of her character, Lee Kyu Won, taking part in an audition for the lead role of the school's 100th Year Anniversary Musical.

In the previous episode's last scene, Kyu Won sees a crying Lee Shin in the arms of dance professor Yoonsu. Lee Shin is heartbroken as his father has passed away. Kyu Won is disappointed and tears up as she sees Yoonsu hugging Shin. Kyu Won vows not to care about Lee Shin's personal life anymore.

However, Lee Shin's band 'The Stupid' and Kyu Won's group 'The Invincible Wind Flowers' are appointed by the school to co-write a song for the 100th Anniversary Musical. They have to combine the two contrasting elements of music - traditional and modern - to create a new and interesting song. Given the mission, the two groups have to live together in a dormitory, thus begin the adventures of the students' stay at the horrifying and seemingly-haunted dorm. An awkward atmosphere is evident between Kyu Won and Shin as Kyu Won's heart is still stinging from what she saw the other night.

A representative of JS Pictures stated 'There have been a lot of complaints about the lack of love-line between Kyu Won and Lee Shin. But in the upcoming episode, everything will change. During the filming of the living-together-in-dorm scenes, Park Shin Hye, Jung Yonghwa and Kang Minhyuk were chatting about their high school memories and more."

Meanwhile, the musical's director, former Broadway director Suk Hyun (starring Song Chang Ui) announces the theme of the celebratory musical - Love, Kyu Won chooses 'I Will Forget You' as her song for audition. The song's lyrics are Kyu Won's thoughts and feelings towards Lee Shin (starring Jung Yonghwa).

During the audition, Kyu Won tears up. Lee Shin, who is watching the teary confession in the hall, appears to be in deep thought as the music moves his heart. The producer said 'Park Shin Hye was very into her character. When she sings the song at the audition scene, the rest of the cast and crew are deeply moved by her performance, too.Please look forward to a music performance with traditional music and applied music combined together."

The 7th episode of Heartstrings will air tonight, July 20th, on MBC at 9:55pm.

[NEWS] Park Shin Hye and Jung Yonghwa's romantic campus date

Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye go on a romantic campus date. 

JS Pictures released new teaser stills of “Heartstrings” couple Lee Shin (Jung Yong Hwa) and Lee Gyu Won (Park Shin Hye) enjoying a bicycle date around campus. In the photos, Gyu Won is seen riding with Shin, leaning on his back, and closing her eyes. Surprisingly, Shin does not seem to mind his time with Gyu Won as he is seen with a rare small smile. The master-slave deal seems to have gotten the two a lot closer as they hang out more and more often.

The unexpectedly fast intimacy between the two have peaked the viewers’ interest. It’s important to point out that Shin has never allowed anyone to ride in the back seat of his bicycle other than his sister (Moon Ga Young), and this action may possibly symbolize that Shin’s opening a part of his life to Gyu Won. 

The producers stated, “Even though we shot the scene during a weekday, a lot of people came out to watch the two leads film the scene – so much that we had to stop filming momentarily to control the crowd. We were able to feel firsthand the couple’s tremendous popularity
