[NEWS] Park Shin Hye appears in university English textbooks in China


It is found out that a monthly academic newspaper has used actress Park Shin Hye in one of their lessons.

The newspaper, named "English Paper", is a popular language 'textbook' used in universities in China to attract students to learn English. As Kpop idols and actors are very popular among Chinese students, the appearance of Park Shin Hye in the 'textbook' further affirms her status as an international Hallyu star.

As seen in the two photos above, the photos of Park Shin Hye are actually from her previous magazine photoshoots.

Park Shin Hye has recently signed with Japanese agency IMX and is preparing for her full fledged activities in Japan.

[MAGAZINE] Park Shin Hye in 女性自身 (Women Themselves)


Interview Translation:

"If I have a chance, I hope that I can be in a Japanese drama or in Japanese variety shows. And although it will take a long time to prepare, I wish I can become a Kpop singer." Park Shin Hye says with a smile.

As Park Shin Hye braces herself for debut in Japan, her parents whom she lives with give her full support. "My mother is like my friend. As for my father, he is usually rather strict as he is always busy with home affairs and also his activities. But he makes awesome chili paste." 

Park Shin Hye is in a lot of dating rumors with 'You're Beautiful' costars Jang Keun Suk and Jung Yonghwa. 

Jang Keun Suk's mother said she wanted to have a daughter-in-law like Park Shin Hye. "When my mother heard about it, she was happy. But my dad was sad because he only has one daughter - me." Park Shin Hye answered.

[NEWS] Park Shin Hye selected as judge for the 13th Puchon International Student Festival


Actress Park Shin Hye is selected as one of the seven judges for the 13th Puchon International Student Animation Festival (PISAF).

Held annually, PISAF is a student -oriented animation festival and its concept originated in an idea for joint exhibition of graduation works of Korean animation majors. PISAF features a student's competition section which inspires their creativity, imagination and passion. In addition, PISAF invites students and indie directors from home and abroad and helps branding of their talents through exhibition, workshop and screening.

For this year's PISAF, seven 'online judges' are selected to judge the animation entries from students. The judging panel is led by American animation director John Musker who created Walt Disney's celebrated animation 'The Little Mermaid' (1989). Actress Park Shin Hye and 5 other professionals are also on the panel.

PISAF will open for 5 days starting November 4 2011. Korean animation film 'Green Days' (2011), which stars Shin Hye as one of the voice dubbers, will be played on November 6 and 8 at the festival.  Besides, an educational event called 'Green Days Master Class' will also be held on November 6 at 1-2pm.

[NEWS] Park Shin Hye signs with Japanese agency IMX


Actress Park Shin Hye signs with Japanese entertainment agency IMX (Interactive Media Mix) for full-fledged entry into the Japanese market.

According to agency officials, Park Shin Hye signed with IMX on 14th this month when the actress made a short trip to Yokohama, Japan.

"Park Shin Hye has become immensely popular in Japan after the broadcast of drama You're Beautiful (2009). To prepare for her activities in Japan, we feel the need to sign with professional entertainment company IMX," IMX will be in charge of Park Shin Hye's project promotions as well as model managemenl, empowering the actress for her full-fledged activities in Japan.


IMX is a well-known agency in Japan. The agency boasts multiple talented Korean stars under its wing, including Bae Yong Joon, Lee Min Ho, Son Ye-Jin, Ahn Jae Wook, Ji Sub So... etc. IMX has gained praise for assisting Bae Yong Joon's entry into the Japanese market in 2004 for his big-hit drama 'Winter Sonata", making the Korean actor the #1 Hallyu star in Japan. With its professional experience, IMX is confident in paving way for Park Shin Hye's potential entry into the Japanese market.


Park Shin Hye is recently seen in Hallyu drama 'Heartstrings' (2011). In September, she participated in a volunteer program hosted by non-profit organization Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI), delivering food aid to people in need in Ghana, South Africa. She is currently attending university for her academic studies.

[VIDEO] Park Shin Hye for KFHI: Ghana and Abana


Today Hunger Saver aired a special on MBC to raise money and bring awareness to hungry children all over the world. During the two hour special, they featured stories from four different celebrities who had traveled to four different countries to make a difference: Kenya, India, Ghana, and Peru.








Of these four celebrities, one was Park Shin Hye, who had spent a week in September in Ghana. Her story showed her activities with a little girl named Abana.




You can see how close Shin Hye and Abana were. Abana is such a beautiful and shy child. Shin Hye was overwhelmed with tears watching Abana, her situation, and the children. Her tears were heartfelt and touching. It showed how tenderhearted Shin Hye really is.
She also visited a little boy named Christian who is sick with malaria.







You can see there is so much love in Shin Hye's eyes as she worked with the children of Ghana.



Our lovely Shin Hye has such a wonderful heart and soul. Thank you for making such a difference and inspiring us to do the same!
