On August 31st, Asia’s outstanding drama series were honored and highlighted at the ‘2011 Seoul International Drama Awards‘ ceremony, held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.

Seen in a gorgeous rosy pink dress and long hair, Shin Hye gave out the 'Outstanding Korean Drama Award' to 'Sungkyunhwan Scandal' and the 'Excellent Drama Award' to 'Marry Me, Mary'

[NEWS] Park Shin Hye goes back to school

Actress Park Shin Hye returns to campus.

As the new school semester commences, Park Shin Hye will be going back to school. Currently a student at Chung Ang University's theater department, Shin Hye will complete her 2nd semester of Year 2 of university studies this semester.

Park Shin Hye took a leave from school in fall 2009 to film drama 'You're Beautiful'. She returned to school in the first half of 2011 before taking another leave from school from early summer 2010 - late summer 2011 for  her movie projects 'Cyrano Agency', 'Green Days' and drama 'Heartstrings'.

Her agency states that she has already completed her class enrollment and will focus on her academics in the current semester. Her new work plans and comeback are scheduled in early 2012.

For the time being, Shin Hye is expected to advance into the Japan market through possible CF endorsement. She will also go to Ghana, South Africa for a volunteer project in late September.

Park Shin Hye arrived in Beijing today to attend the annual LeTV Entertainment Awards. She was invited to represent her country in this award ceremony as well as received an award herself. Tonight Park Shin Hye arrived at the event dressed all in black in an empire style dress looking very elegant and classy.

Tonight Park Shin Hye won the Asian Popular Female Star Award. Congratulations Shin Hye!! We're so happy for you. A true Hallyu Star!!! We're so proud of you!!!

[PHOTOS] Park Shin Hye Arrives in Beijing to attend Award Ceremony

As the first stop of her international activities, today, August 26, 2011, Park Shin Hye flew to Beijing, China. She was invited by LeTV to participate in an Asian entertainment awards ceremony. She was invited as a representative of her country along with numerous other Korean stars as well as to receive the "Asian Star Award" during the ceremony.

Before leaving for Beijing, she tweeted:

Fans met her at the airport with many banners and flowers to show her their love and support.

Tonight's event starts at 5pm Beijing Time with a red carpet event. This is her second time to Beijing this year, one being earlier this year for the Tokyo Girls Collection fashion show (http://www.shinhye.org/2011/05/tokyo-girls-collection-fashion-show.html)

[NEWS] Park Shin Hye stops hunger with KFHI

NGO Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI) Goodwill Ambassadors Park Shin Hye and Jung Tae Woo joined volunteers today to promote KFHI's annual food aid campaign.

The 2011 KFHI global food aid campaign, 'STOP HUNGER' promotional event was held from 11:50am to 1:30pm in Myeongdong, Seoul today. The aim of the campaign is to 'fight against extreme hunger and poverty' by raising the awareness of international hunger issues and to promote the food aid fundraiser to all walks and personnel of society.

Park Shin Hye and Jung Tae Woo made rice balls in the middle of Myeongdong today to raise funds for the campaign. Citizens could taste the cooking of the idols by donating 5,000 won to 'STOP HUNGER'.

Other than that, Shin Hye participated in a hand-printing ceremony to commemorate the event.

'STOP HUNGER' campaign runs from August 1 to October 31. The campaign has a target of reducing 1% of world population that is living in extreme poverty.

Meanwhile, the international World Food Day 2011, organized by the United Nations, will commence on October 15. Korea will celebrate the day with providing 100,000 food kits to various third world countries such as Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Ecuador, Tajikistan, etc.
