[NEWS] Park Shin Hye to MC 2011 Hallyu Dream Concert with Shinee's Minho & 2PM's Taecyeon

Actress Park Shin Hye will be co-hosting the 2011 Hallyu Dream Concert with Ok Taecyeon from 2PM and SHinee's Minho.

The annual Dream Concert, the biggest concert of the year, will be held at the Gyeongju Civic Stadium on October 3 from 6pm to 10pm. 

It is confirmed that 19 idol groups and solo artists will be performing on stage which includes, TVXQ, 2PM, SNSD,SHINee, miss A, GD&TOP, Se7en, SECRET, Kim Gun Mo, ZE:A, 4minute, B2ST, G.NA, T-ara, Davichi, SISTAR, IU, MBLAQ, and INFINITE.

The hosts of the biggest Hallyu concert of the year are our beloved Shin Hye and Taecyeon from 2PM who recently starred in KBS drama 'Dream High' and also Shinee's Minho. 

This year’s Hallyu Dream Concert is co-organized by the Committee of “Visit Korea Year”, the city of Gyeongju, and theKorea Entertainment Producers’ Association with support from Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization. A total of 20,000 spectators including 5,000 overseas visitors are expected to attend the annual event.

Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye is currently in Ghana, South Africa on a volunteer trip. She is expected to return to Korea this weekend. 

[NEWS] Park Shin Hye Departs to Ghana in Boyish Airport Fashion

Actress, Park Shin Hye was dressed up in a boyish style at the airport.

On September 24, 2:56PM, through her Twitter she announced that she was leaving for Ghana and asked her fans to wish them a safe trip. She posted a photo along with the status, “I am departing to see Ahbenne. Please wish us all a safe trip.”

In the photo, she isn’t radiating an elegant feel but is radiating boyish charm. She looks as if she is well-dressed up for volunteer work. Black is the most dominant colour of her airport fashion, giving boyish and chic feel, along with the hunting-cap which also adds to the boyish feel. Her red backpack adds to the vivacious image and feel, which she already has.

Netizens who have seen this photo have said, “This is the true volunteer work fashion,” “Hwaiting! It is going to be a long and tiring trip!” or “The inner side is as pretty as her beautiful appearance!”

Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye is working as the honorary ambassador of Food for the Hungry and is participating in the 2011 food aid campaign, ‘STOP HUNGER’ in Ghana. 

Park Shin Hye has starred in a youth melodrama, “Heartstrings” with Jung Young Hwa which has finished airing on August 18 with 15 episodes.

Showing support for CNBLUE, on September 17th, Park Shin hye posted on her Twitter saying, "Looking at the Han river in the afternoon is great...but I want to come here early morning too...Will I be able to wake up at 6 in the morning to come here..Dundundun" and "Oh! Today is CN Blue's concert. Yonghwa, Minhyuk, CNBLUE Fighting!".

Park Shinhye recently filmed the MBC Wednesday and Thursday drama "Heartstrings" with CNBLUE members Yonghwa and Minhyuk. Furthermore, Yonghwa and Shinhye had previously filmed together in the drama "You're Beautiful".

[NEWS] Heartstrings is voted 'Best Korean Drama of 2011'

Netizens overseas selected MBC’s drama series Heartstrings, in which CN Blue’s Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye starred, as the best Korean drama series.

Heartstrings ranked no. 1 on “The Best Korean Drama 2011” with a 40.5% approval rating on the survey of Squidoo.com, winning over popular dramas such as City Hunter (17.5%) and Secret Garden (14.8%).

The series also ranked no. 1 on “Best Of Korea” survey on Facebook.

It is said that Jung and Park’s popularity overseas added more positive effect on the surveys.

CN Blue will do CN Blue 2011 Asia Concert Blue Storm on the 17th and the 18th at the Olympic Hall in Seoul. The group will continue the concert at Yokohama, Japan by the end of the month.

[VIDEO] MBC's 'Star Audition: The Great Birth' (위대한 탄생)

On September 9th, Shin Hye made a brief appearance on MBC's 'Star Audition: The Great Birth' (위대한 탄생). She made an appearance because Lee Seung Hwan was one of he mentors on the show. 


Shin Hye debuted in 2003 through Dream Factory, Lee Seung Hwan's agency. Lee Seung Hwan is a teacher that Shin Hye respects a lot and has learned a lot from. They remain a close relationship even though Shin Hye is no longer part of Dream Factory.

[EVENT] Park Shin Hye attends Codes Combine Haiker Fan sign

Park Shin Hye's first fan-signing session of the season was a success. 

Celebrating its new flagship store opening, Korean clothing label Codes Combine Haiker held a fan-signing event with Fall/Winter endorser Park Shin Hye yesterday at the new store located in D-Cube City mall, Shindorim-dong, Seoul. 

The event started at 3pm local time. Although only 100 lucky fans were granted tickets to the event, hundreds of fans waited at the venue to catch a glimpse of the beautiful actress.
