Who knew that when we were planning our vacation in April, we would be meeting Shin Hye in November! The weeks before our vacation, news was announced there was going to be a VIP viewing of Memories of the Alhambra with the cast in attendance. When we've arrived in Seoul, our friends, the Korean Official Fanclub, was able to give us tickets to attend the event.
Earlier in the day was the press conference of the drama. We were a little late, so we only managed to bring the baskets of flowers and gave them to Shin Hye's manager - one for Shin Hye and one for Hyun Bin. We stayed in the hall for a few minutes and took pictures of the rice wreaths that we participated in.
Having some time to kill, we went to Namsam tower and hang out there until it was time to head over to the movie theater. We got there earlier and decided to go buy some paper to make signs. We met up with some fans and many of us made signs together. When it was time, we all headed inside the theater. We found our seats and soon the cast walked in front of the stage. The MC did Q&A with the cast and then asked the audience questions. Some fans got to go up and take a selfie with the stars. In between, we were able to hand Shin Hye our bouquet. She brought it up to the stage with her.
Once the session was over, the cast walked up on our side of the theater to their seats. As Shin Hye fans were seated together on our side, we were able to interact with Shin Hye. She gave high fives and shook hands. The moment was fantastic. We got to high five her! And it turned out, she and Hyun Bin were only seated three rows behind us.
Once seated, the episode started on the screen. It felt like we've never felt before, sitting in the same movie theater enjoying the same episode together. We will never forget this moment or the time spent together.
After the episode ended, the cast left first as we stayed seated. They waved good bye and left. Afterward, we left the theater.
We were so lucky, to be able to attend not one, but two VIP showing with Shin Hye. Each time is as memorable as the time before.
