[NEWS] Park Shin Hye appears in university English textbooks in China


It is found out that a monthly academic newspaper has used actress Park Shin Hye in one of their lessons.

The newspaper, named "English Paper", is a popular language 'textbook' used in universities in China to attract students to learn English. As Kpop idols and actors are very popular among Chinese students, the appearance of Park Shin Hye in the 'textbook' further affirms her status as an international Hallyu star.

As seen in the two photos above, the photos of Park Shin Hye are actually from her previous magazine photoshoots.

Park Shin Hye has recently signed with Japanese agency IMX and is preparing for her full fledged activities in Japan.

[MAGAZINE] Park Shin Hye in 女性自身 (Women Themselves)


Interview Translation:

"If I have a chance, I hope that I can be in a Japanese drama or in Japanese variety shows. And although it will take a long time to prepare, I wish I can become a Kpop singer." Park Shin Hye says with a smile.

As Park Shin Hye braces herself for debut in Japan, her parents whom she lives with give her full support. "My mother is like my friend. As for my father, he is usually rather strict as he is always busy with home affairs and also his activities. But he makes awesome chili paste." 

Park Shin Hye is in a lot of dating rumors with 'You're Beautiful' costars Jang Keun Suk and Jung Yonghwa. 

Jang Keun Suk's mother said she wanted to have a daughter-in-law like Park Shin Hye. "When my mother heard about it, she was happy. But my dad was sad because he only has one daughter - me." Park Shin Hye answered.

[NEWS] Park Shin Hye selected as judge for the 13th Puchon International Student Festival


Actress Park Shin Hye is selected as one of the seven judges for the 13th Puchon International Student Animation Festival (PISAF).

Held annually, PISAF is a student -oriented animation festival and its concept originated in an idea for joint exhibition of graduation works of Korean animation majors. PISAF features a student's competition section which inspires their creativity, imagination and passion. In addition, PISAF invites students and indie directors from home and abroad and helps branding of their talents through exhibition, workshop and screening.

For this year's PISAF, seven 'online judges' are selected to judge the animation entries from students. The judging panel is led by American animation director John Musker who created Walt Disney's celebrated animation 'The Little Mermaid' (1989). Actress Park Shin Hye and 5 other professionals are also on the panel.

PISAF will open for 5 days starting November 4 2011. Korean animation film 'Green Days' (2011), which stars Shin Hye as one of the voice dubbers, will be played on November 6 and 8 at the festival.  Besides, an educational event called 'Green Days Master Class' will also be held on November 6 at 1-2pm.
